Legacy Storytelling

Legacy storytelling is about honoring the past, celebrating the people and values that shaped it, and inspiring the future through authentic, emotional narratives.

Storytelling Approach

We captured the artistry behind the massive hand-painted murals that line the museum’s walls, celebrating motorsports history in Southern California. Our focus was on showcasing the scale and grandeur of the paintings while giving voice to the artists whose work defines the museum’s atmosphere.

Art of the Museum

This film introduced the museum through the eyes of founder Rick Lorenzen, weaving together his life story, his vision, and his motivation for building a nonprofit that preserves history, gives back to the community, and invests in future generations. By blending personal narrative with sweeping visuals of the cars and exhibits, we showcased the foundation’s heart and purpose.

more than a Museum

cinematic scale

We captured murals, cars, and museum exhibits with wide cinematic compositions to convey their scope and grandeur.

personal narratives

We elevated voices of the painters and founder Rick Lorenzen to humanize the story behind the museum.

integrated branding

Crafted documentaries that align seamlessly with additional films and social content, ensuring a cohesive brand presence.

Both films were designed to feel larger than life, visually emphasizing the scale of the museum while maintaining a consistent brand voice across all accompanying content and social assets.

technical & creative execution

  • Branded Asset Development - Created globally usable intro and outro bumpers to establish consistency across all films, social media, and future foundation branding.

  • Respectful Storytelling - Approached interviews with families and friends of motorsports figures with care, honoring the legacy of the men and women who lost their lives in racing history.

  • Collaborative Content Strategy - Partnered with the foundation team to produce high-quality assets tailored for their end-of-year charity dinner, ensuring the content elevated both fundraising efforts and brand presence.

The Lions Automobilia Foundation documentaries, Art of the Museum and More Than a Museum, earned multiple Telly Awards, validating our approach to legacy-driven storytelling, showing that films centered on history, community, and mission can resonate far beyond the walls of the museum.

These Telly Awards are a recognition that underscores the creative quality and cultural importance of the Lions Automobilia Foundation’s story. For the foundation, the recognition elevated their profile and reinforced their role as a steward of motorsports history, while for Parthenon Pictures, it demonstrated our ability to craft cinematic, award-winning content that strengthens nonprofit brands.

Beyond awards, the films helped the foundation expand its reach, strengthen community ties, and inspire future generations of automotive enthusiasts. By combining visual scale with human storytelling, the projects positioned the museum as a cultural landmark and a vital force in motorsports preservation.
